Objective: To observe the effect of Yupingfeng granule combined with Western medicine in treating pediatric asthma. Methods: A total of 160 asthmatic children were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into observation group (80 cases) and control group (80 cases). The control group was treated with routine western medicine. The observation group was treated with Yupingfeng granule on the basis of the control group. The control group, the number of courses of treatment and the adverse reactions were compared between the two groups to evaluate the therapeutic effect of the two groups . Results: After 1 course of treatment, the total effective rate was 88.75% in the observation group and 73.75% in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05). The number of courses required for symptom control in the observation group was less than that in the control group (P <0.01). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 1.25%, and the incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 10.00%. There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05). Conclusion: Yupingfeng granule combined with western medicine can significantly improve the symptoms of asthmatic children and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in children.
